Shop accounting — switch on only what you need

Most accounting software buries a shopkeeper in ledgers they never use. BazarBook does the opposite: start with billing and khata, then turn on expenses, purchases, cash book and P&L reports one switch at a time — as much accounting as your shop needs, and no more.

No card needed for the trial.

Trusted by 250+ shops

You don’t need an accountant’s software to run a shop

Full accounting suites are built for accountants, not counters — pages of vouchers and journals most shopkeepers never touch. BazarBook stays simple by default and lets you switch on each accounting piece only when you actually need it, so the app never gets in your way.

Turn on what you need

Expenses

Track rent, salary, electricity, supplies and more — with receipts. See where the money goes, by category, every month.

Purchases & suppliers

The other side of udhaar: what you owe your suppliers. Record purchases, keep each supplier’s ledger, and see your total payable.

Cash book / day book

A double-column cash & bank book — money in, money out, running balance — built from your sales, payments and expenses on its own.

P&L, tax & balance sheet

Real profit and loss (revenue minus cost and expenses), a GST tax summary, and a simple balance sheet — your shop’s true numbers, by period.

Munim — ask your shop

Ask a question about your shop in plain Hindi, Gujarati or English and get the answer from your own numbers. A tax advisor flags what you can save, too.

Switch it on and off

Every module is a toggle in Settings. Turn on only what you use; turn one off and it just hides — your data stays safe.

Your books, your way

1

Switch on what you need

In Settings → Accounting, turn on expenses, purchases, cash book or reports. Only what you switch on shows up.

2

Record as you go

Add expenses and purchases in a tap; your sales and payments flow in on their own.

3

See your real numbers

Open Reports for your P&L, tax summary and balance sheet — or just ask Munim.

Accounting — common questions

Do I have to use all the accounting features?

No — that’s the whole point. Turn on only the modules you want (expenses, purchases, cash book, reports) and leave the rest off. You can change it anytime in Settings.

Which plan has accounting?

The accounting modules are on the Medium plan and up. The Small plan covers billing, inventory and analytics.

Does it do a real profit & loss?

Yes. Revenue minus cost of goods and expenses gives your true net profit, by period — plus a GST tax summary and a simple balance sheet.

What is Munim?

Munim is BazarBook’s built-in assistant. Ask a question about your shop in plain language — Hindi, Gujarati or English — and get the answer from your own numbers. There’s also a tax advisor that highlights savings.

Can I turn a module off later?

Yes. Toggling a module off just hides it — your data is kept, so you can switch it back on anytime.

Is it as heavy as Tally?

No. It’s built for shopkeepers, not accountants — the reports you actually need, without the vouchers-and-journals learning curve.
