Switch on Expenses
In Settings → Accounting, turn on the Expenses module. It’s on the Medium plan and up.
Add as you spend
Log each expense when it happens and snap the receipt — it takes a few seconds.
Read the breakdown
Open Expenses for a category-wise view, or Reports to see it inside your profit & loss.
Expense tracking — common questions
Do expenses change my profit?
Yes. Once you log them, your expenses come off your gross profit to give a true net profit in the P&L report.
Can I keep the receipt?
Yes. Snap a photo of the bill and it’s attached to that expense, viewable anytime.
Can I set up a monthly rent that repeats?
For now you add each expense as it happens; automatic recurring expenses are on the way. You can import a batch from CSV in the meantime.
Which plan has expense tracking?
It’s on the Medium plan and up, alongside purchases, cash book and reports.
Can I import my old expenses?
Yes — upload a CSV with the date, amount, category and payment mode and they all come in at once.
Is it best on a phone or a computer?
You can add an expense on your phone, but the full expense list and reports are best on a computer or laptop.
