AI built into the counter

AI that does the boring half of your shop

Ordinary billing software waits for you to type. You type each item, you type the rate, you type the supplier’s whole delivery, and at month-end you open a report and work out what it means. BazarBook takes that half off your hands — speak the bill, photograph the supplier’s delivery, and ask your shop a question in Gujarati and get a straight answer back. Here’s exactly what the AI does, and where it honestly doesn’t help.

No card needed for the trial.

BazarBook vs ordinary billing software

The difference isn’t a badge on the box. It’s who does the typing, and who works out what the numbers mean.

What the AI actually does

Speak the bill

Say the items out loud in Hindi, Gujarati or English and the bill builds itself. Useful when both your hands are busy and there are four people waiting.

Photograph the supplier’s bill

Point your phone at a purchase bill and the items, quantities and rates come back as a list you check and add to stock. Beats typing forty lines after closing.

Ask your shop a question

Munim answers in plain language — "is mahine ka profit kitna hua?", "kaun kitna udhaar baaki hai?", "kya order karna chahiye?" — in Gujarati, Hindi or English.

Be told what to reorder

It watches how fast each item actually sells, then tells you how many days of cover you have left and how much to order.

Find the money that’s stuck

Dead stock is capital sitting on a shelf. You get told which items haven’t moved and how much money is tied up in them.

Tax tips from your own numbers

Once a year, suggestions worked out from your real turnover, margins and GST status — composition scheme, 44AD and the rest. Check them with your CA before you act.

The numbers aren’t guessed

This is the part that matters. Every figure comes out of your own sales data by a plain database query — the AI only turns it into a sentence you can read. It can’t invent a profit figure, because it never calculates one.

And it stays out of the way

Billing, khata and stock work perfectly without touching any of it. Turn the AI on when it’s useful to you, not because the app insists.

How to start using it

1

Sign up and bill normally

Seven days free, no card. Just run your counter the way you already do for a few days.

2

Let it build a picture

Every bill teaches it what you sell and how fast. After a week or two the reorder and dead-stock advice is worth reading.

3

Start asking

Ask Munim about profit, udhaar or what to order. Photograph your next supplier bill instead of typing it.

AI for your shop — common questions

What kind of AI is it?

Two kinds, working together. Voice billing, the supplier-bill photo scan and Munim’s answers run on a language model — that’s what lets you speak to your shop in Gujarati or point a camera at a crumpled purchase bill. The reorder and dead-stock advice runs on our own algorithms over your sales history, which is why it can tell you days of cover and the money locked in a shelf. You get the answer either way; we just don’t use a model where a precise calculation does it better.

Can the AI get my numbers wrong?

The figures themselves come from your own sales by a direct database query, so profit, udhaar and GST totals are calculated the same way your reports calculate them. The AI’s job is to understand your question and write the answer as a sentence. Where it can slip is reading a blurry bill photo or mishearing an item over counter noise — which is why both show you what they got before anything is saved.

Does it work in Gujarati and Hindi?

Yes. You can speak a bill and ask Munim questions in Gujarati, Hindi or English, and get the answer back in the same language. The whole app is in all three, not just the AI part.

Which plan do I need?

Munim, the smart stock insights and the tax-saving advisor are on the Medium plan. Scanning a supplier bill from a photo works on every paid plan, up to 10 scans a month. Voice billing is included from the Small plan up.

Do I have to use any of it?

No. Plenty of shops bill, keep khata and track stock and never open the AI side at all. It’s there when you want it and invisible when you don’t.

What if the photo of the supplier bill isn’t clear?

You get back whatever it could read, and you fix the rest before adding it to stock — nothing goes into your inventory until you say so. A flat bill in decent light reads best; a crumpled carbon copy in a dark godown is asking a lot of any camera.

Is my shop’s data used to train an AI?

No. Your sales are used to answer your questions and nothing else. See the privacy policy for what’s stored and how.
